Children's Ministry
Sunday School
Zion's Sunday School is held every Sunday at 9 am-10 am for children ages pre-kindergarten through sixth grade (September-May). Sunday School includes learning Bible stories and doing a monthly mission project. Some of the mission projects included raising money for Lutheran World Relief, helping make quilts for Lutheran World Relief, raising money to buy animals for families through World Vision, and putting together emergency kits for members of the congregation.
Confirmation Class
Seventh and eighth graders have confirmation study with Pastor Knepper on a determined day during the week. “Confirmation is a time-honored church tradition (not required by God's Word, but--we believe--useful nonetheless) in which the child baptized as an infant is given the opportunity to confess for himself or herself the faith that he or she was unable to confess as an infant. Faith is not “created” at confirmation, but rather confessed for all to hear, so that the church can join and rejoice in the public confession, which has its roots in the faith which God Himself created in Baptism.” quoted from the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod website www.lcms.org. Contact Pastor Knepper for the current confirmation class schedule.
